In Ground Garden Project
The original in ground garden at the start of the expansion.A Kubota Series L3400 is being used to pull the plow.A double plow is being used to turn the soil.The plow is attached through a cat 1 three point hitch.Overwintering kills weeds and breaks apart clumps.Turning the soil cycles essential nutrients.After overwintering, the next step is to disc the soil.Discing breaks up the soil releasing essential nutrients.It’s intermediate step between plowing and tilling.The final step is to till. Tilling prepares the soil for planting.The goal of tilling is to soften and aerate the soil for seeds.It took three passes to fully till the soil for planting.
Keeping Chickens
